Kelly Brown will share lessons learned over D5 Coalition’s five-year effort, focusing on how change happens in philanthropy and opportunities for engagement in the growing network of champions who are advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in philanthropy.

As our constituencies become increasingly diverse, we need to understand and reflect their rich variety of perspectives in order to achieve greater impact. Led by Director Kelly Brown, D5 is a five-year effort to increase philanthropy’s diversity, equity and inclusiveness. Kelly has more than 20 years of experience working on diversity, equity and inclusion issues as well as in foundation, consultation and nonprofit work, strengthening underserved communities.

Excellence in Employee Engagement

Learn how three different employee engagement efforts increase morale and provide opportunities for professional development, leadership and a personalized connection to a company’s philanthropic mission. Discuss methods and models for facilitating volunteerism and reflect on different Corporate Social Responsibility models. A Catchafire representative will be on-site from New York to discuss its unique enterprise solution, which enables skills-based volunteering experiences at unprecedented scale and cost-efficiency.
