The state’s $170.4 billion all-funds biennium budget, which funds major policy priorities for the next two years, must be passed and signed into law by Governor DeWine by June 30, 2021. Philanthropy Ohio has heavily engaged the Ohio House and Ohio Senate in the areas of health, human services and education to ensure that significant investments in Ohio’s children and families continue as we recover from the pandemic and its devastating impacts. Learn about these investments and discover what to expect next in Ohio’s General Assembly.

Additionally, hear an overview of HB 322 and HB 327, which relate to teaching about current events, race and sex, as well as other General Assembly priority bills.

What you'll take away

  • Knowledge of the budget’s health, education and human services allocations; and
  • An understanding of other legislation in our priority areas.
