8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Opening Plenary
Sponsor: The Greater Cincinnati Foundation
At breakfast on September 17, philanthropists will welcome local nonprofits (Cincinnati collective impact backbone organizations and their partners) to a discussion on leadership, led by Paul Schmitz, author of Everyone Leads: Building Leadership from the Community Up. Paul, CEO of Leading Inside Out, has two decades of experience in developing effective leaders in a wide array of communities. His talk will help you consider new leadership possibilities within yourself and your community while exploring leadership development and community-building strategies necessary to develop authentic, inclusive and collaborative leaders who work better together and engage community members to solve critical problems.
The breakfast address is the opening plenary of Philanthropy Forward ’15, the largest convening of philanthropy in Ohio. There are a limited number of seats available. Copies of Paul’s book will be available for purchase after the session.
Paul Schmitz believes in building leadership from the community up, a belief gained from more than two decades of developing young adults into effective community leaders.
