Name: Jeffrey M. Glebocki, Founder & Lead Advisor

Organization’s Name: Strategy + Action/Philanthropy

How I can help you (my areas of expertise) check all that apply:

  • Evaluation
  • Governance
  • Strategic Planning

Types of consulting projects I like to engage in: Serving as a guide to leaders and organizations to lay out the path ahead, to make clear how to get there and how to know the goals are being realized, and to ensure the organizational resources are in place to arrive at the destination.

Projects outside my purview: Investment management. Legal consultation.

My ideal client would be… a staff, board or organization that wants to ask the tough questions to move their work to the next level for greater positive impact.

Years I’ve been consulting: 15 years

What drew you to work with the nonprofit sector? My childhood dream was to become an architect. I realized, though, there was more opportunity to create change beyond individual building projects. It was about how all the pieces fit together – housing, business, policy, education, etc. – that got me into the social sector and philanthropy.

Most recent book I’ve read: “Grocery: The Buying and Selling of Food in America” Former Clevelander Michael Ruhlman uses Heinen’s, the Ohio-based supermarket chain, as his case study. Did you know the average American supermarket carries over 40,000 items?!? “The Architecture of Happiness” by Alain de Botton. Can the built environment make us happy? Why yes, it can. “Wild Tales: A Rock and Roll Life” Graham Nash’s tell-all adventures.

When not working I like to …  be on my bicycle searching out new routes and new hills.
