Barberton Community Foundation seeks a Director of Finance who will provide leadership and management for all finance, accounting, human resource and program-related investment functions, as well as serve as an advisor to the Board, its committees, all fund holders and the staff.  

The Director of Finance reports to the Executive Director and will provide the accounting and finance functions to include performing and overseeing all financial reporting and presentations, the annual budget process, cash management functions to meet granting, investment and operational needs, coordinating the annual audit process, and fulfilling the Foundation’s annual IRS filings and related compliance requirements.  

This position also works directly with our donors and grant partners, and provides timely information on fund balances and transactions to our fund holders to assist in the execution of their philanthropic wishes.  

Requirements for this position include being a true self-starter who works independently and is attentive on deadlines.  This person also needs to understand the value of working with a creative team, serving a board of directors, and focused on the mission and vision of the Foundation.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and five years of experience in fund accounting required; CPA and nonprofit experiences is preferred. A generous benefits package is available and salary is commensurate with experience. For a full job description, see
