Hamilton County unveiled a new program to help COVID-19 impacted small businesses with support from CARES Act funding, Fifth Third Bank, JP Chase Morgan and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
 
The Dayton Foundation announced Sophie Young as the Si Burick Scholarship Award winner and Bethany Weldy as the Dayton Daily News Community Solutions scholarship winner.
 
The Coshocton Foundation announced winners of three adult, or non-traditional student, scholarships.
 
The Fab Foundation at Lorain County Community College developed a curriculum to use in a local tech camp with funding from the Nordson Corporation Foundation.
 
According to Chief Keith Porch, a new $136K grant from the Richland County Foundation will help move Mansfield Police Department training into the 21st century.
 
Common Ground, an array of community-led conversations sponsored by The Cleveland Foundation, is celebrating its five-year anniversary, with this year’s focus on “Growing Common Ground: People, Place, Shared Power.”
  
The Marimor Legacy Foundation received $10K in grant funding from Dominion Energy to support the foundation’s all-ability playgrounds.
 
The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio’s African American Community Fund received a $50K grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation.
 
Ashland County Community Foundation recently awarded several Women’s Fund Grants to support and empower women in the county.
 
The Scioto Foundation announced the establishment of the Christina Lester Niekamp Scholarship Fund.
 
The Miriam Rosenthal Foundation for the Arts awarded $120K in general operating support to Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, The Human Race Theatre Company, Dayton Opera, Dayton Ballet and Muse Machine.
 
The United Way of the Mid-Ohio Valley hosted a 5K color run called “Color Me United” to raise funds for its annual campaign.
