Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, a nonprofit ownership group backed by the City of Cleveland, has raised almost $5 million in capital from organizations like the Cleveland Foundation, The George Gund Foundation and the Cuyahoga County ARPA funding program.

Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, a nonprofit ownership group backed by the City of Cleveland, has raised almost $5 million in capital from organizations like the Cleveland Foundation, The George Gund Foundation and the Cuyahoga County ARPA funding program.

Beth Fox, director of programs at Muskingum County Community Foundation, says that $70,000 raised from the annual Groundhog Day Fundraiser will assist nonprofits and community projects in Muskingum County and will go to programs or project funding.

The Troy-Miami County Public Library invested over $900,000 in the Maker Lab, including grants for software and display cases from The Troy Foundation and hand tools and safety gear from the Miami County Foundation. 

The Agraria Center for Regenerative Practice board announced a hiatus of its operations and programs. They worked with the Yellow Springs Community Foundation to set up $2,500 in low-interest microloans for employees through the Yellow Springs Federal Credit Union.

The Mandel Myers Fellowship program began in 2022 with 53 participating counselors and is funded by a $1.8 million grant from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation and a grant of $150,000 a year for the next three years from the David and Inez Myers Foundation.

PRE4CLE, a city initiative to expand access to high-quality preschool across Cleveland, has been supported by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Cuyahoga County, PNC Bank and several foundations, including The George Gund Foundation and The Cleveland Foundation. 

The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley announced the addition of three new members to its board of directors.

More than 700 Ohio high school students are one step closer to representing Ohio at the National High School Mock Trial Competition in May, a program made possible, in part, by a grant from the Ohio State Bar Foundation

Vinton County National Bank funding is matched dollar-for-dollar by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio.

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is investing $5 million over five years in the nonprofit news organization Signal Akron.
