The Richland County Foundation will fund off-duty police officers who sign up for the public/private partnership pilot program to help homeless residents in downtown Mansfield.

The commute program was funded by the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Greater Toledo Community Foundation.

Thanks to funding from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, many area youth-focused arts camps are offering some unique, in-person experiences this summer.

WOUB received funding to support the documentary project from, among others, the Ohio Arts Council and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio Strengthening Civics Education in Appalachian Ohio grant. 

The Downtown Akron Partnership program matches businesses with available storefronts and helps with rent, thanks to funding from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.

The Ottawa County Community Foundation provided more than $65,000 over the last three years to help Ottawa County teachers tackle dyslexia in the classroom.

Columbus Business First surveyed the local business community on their giving for their annual list of the region's most generous companies.

In the second round of grantmaking from the Cleveland Black Futures Fund, the Cleveland Foundation and its partners awarded $1.575 million to 43 nonprofits.

Merchants National Bank committed $25,000 to support local programs and projects by establishing a fund with the Hocking County Community Fund, a county-based fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio.

The Cleveland Foundation’s African American Philanthropy Committee presented its 7th African American Philanthropy Summit to raise the visibility of African American philanthropy in Cleveland. 

Local lawmakers will consider a $250,000 grant from the Richland County Foundation to provide grants to encourage redevelopment of existing properties and development of new properties.

Many of the renovations to the former Everts School building rehab were funded through grants and donations, including funding from the Pickaway County Community Foundation

In addition to using American Rescue Plan Act funds, the city of Lebanon and the Warren County Foundation collaborated to raise $120,000 in private donations to help support the construction of a Welcome Center.

Stepping Stones Inc. announced one of the six tiny homes funded by the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington arrived in Huntington and will be used as a way to assist youth transitioning from the foster care system to independence.

Proceeds from The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation's 5K run will be split with ‘I Am A Warrior Against Suicide,’ enabling them to post more signs around the county with their crisis hotline number.

A team of advisers from The Columbus Foundation, One Columbus, JPMorgan Chase, Rev 1 Ventures, Ohio State University and TMH Solutions will support the firms owned by women of color during the Hire 1 Accelerator program.

Constance Hill-Johnson is the first Black woman to be elected chair of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Foundation, the world’s oldest community foundation and owner of $3 billion in assets.
