The Dayton Foundation Governing Board approved grants totaling over $116K to 26 charitable organizations in Greater Dayton as part of the Foundation’s Basic Human Needs Grants process.

KeyBank and the KeyBank Foundation announced a $300K investment in Akron’s The Well Community Development Corp. to bolster its Career Development Program.

Springfield Foundation created a new fund in honor of Jessie Shropshire, a local leader and philanthropist.

Martha Holden Jennings Foundation awarded a $10K grant to Benjamin Logan Middle School to support the second year of the Writing Across the Curriculum Professional Development Series for the 2024-2025 school year.

The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley and River Valley Health Fund awarded grants totaling more than $150K to organizations throughout the Ohio Valley.

The Charles D. Berry Foundation and the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities provided a grant to the Five Rivers MetroPark sites to install adjustable changing tables.

Ohio Humanities helped fund Ohio in the Civil War program.

Cleveland Foundation provided a $25K grant that created a report from a survey of Cleveland’s musical ecosystem of which the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame unveiled a plan to use liquor taxes to make a live music fund.

ArtWorks’ newest gathering space in Walnut Hills, set to open in early November, will be named the Hannan ArtPark, presented by Fifth Third Foundation.

The Defiance Area Foundation awarded $2,400 to United Way of Defiance County for KinderCamp books/supplies.

Tipp City Foundation awarded a grant of $1,982 to the Tippapalooza Music Festival.

Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership and the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. introduced new staff positions created through the Strategic Partners Fellowship supported by The Raymond John Wean Foundation.

Pickaway County Community Foundation helped to fund the fall hike and artifact display at Snake Den Mounds on Sept. 25.

The Cleveland Metroparks will open a $15M sailing center with the help of Parker Hannifin Corporation and Madeleine S. Parker, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation and The Cleveland Foundry.

Muskingum County Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its 4th Annual Fall Grant Competition.

The Gala of Hope Foundation awarded Mercy Health—Springfield more than $240K in grants to support a program that promotes the early detection and management of lung nodules.

The City of Akron revitalized Morgan Park with funding from the City of Akron, Akron Parks Collaborative, South Street Ministries, GAR Foundation, the Pucci Family, Summit County Public Health, CarMax Cares Foundation and ArtsForward.

Knox County Foundation funded Youth Enrichment Series (YES!) live concerts at Knox Memorial Theater.
