Philanthropy Ohio launches new series to build capacity & enhance impact

Tuesday, June 29, 2021

Philanthropy Ohio is embarking on a new pilot project to help our funder members and their grantees have a bigger impact in the community. The virtual Nonprofit Summer Learning Series that we developed will provide nonprofit organizations across the state with expert-led presentations to build their capacity and achieve goals.
Nonprofit organizations provide essential services to communities and residents throughout the state, which we’ve seen in an unprecedented volume over the past year. We applaud our members who support many of these organizations through grant funding and we believe that building their success through professional development amplifies that investment, and in turn, strengthens our community.

The Nonprofit Summer Learning Series begins on Wednesday, June 30 and will convene nonprofits six times over the course of the summer. We invite nonprofit professionals to participate in the timely, unique professional development opportunities in the series that explores topics of resource development, governance and organizational development. If you are unable to attend a session, you will receive access to the recordings post-webinar.

We encourage funders to support their grantees by inviting them to participate in the series and by providing scholarships for those who choose to attend. Admission to all six sessions is $150 per person. Philanthropy Ohio members can enroll five grantee attendees at a discounted rate of $500 and there is no limit to the number of grantees members can invite to attend.

Philanthropy Ohio is also offering two sponsorship opportunities of $5,000 each and those sponsors will receive unlimited admission for their grantees to attend the series. If this series is something that speaks to your organization’s mission and you are interested in being a sponsor of the entire series, or for more information on scholarships, please email Mary Dunbar.
