Listserv Question - Does your foundation hold fundraisers for a) operating dollars and/or b) grant dollars?
Query - We would be interested in knowing if Philanthropy Ohio member foundations measure the efficiency of the organizations they support. Specifically, we would like to know what measure is used (overhead, people served, etc.) and what sources they use (GuideStar, Charity Navigator, etc.)
Query: A Philanthropy Ohio colleague is requesting suggestions for an auditing firm. They are interested in a company experienced in working with organizations at the $10 million level. Their foundation will be experiencing an annual audit for the very first time.
Query: A corporate foundation colleague is interested in hearing what grants management system you use as well as your experience with how well it meets your needs.

Query - What corporate community foundation members participate in United Way campaigns and do they match employee's giving
Query: A Northeast Ohio-based, small staff, family foundation is seeking advice from peers within the Philanthropy Ohio network on recommended facilitators to guide the foundation trustees through a planning retreat. The ultimate goal is to develop a strategic plan that will assist the foundation in narrowing its funding focus.
Query: A family foundation colleague asked that we post this query on their behalf: “Our foundation currently offers a matching gift for donations up to $10,000 made by any member and trustee. To date, these have been cash grants. We are interested to know if other foundations consider volunteer time as part of the match and if so, what is the value used for each hour volunteered?
Query Question - A Philanthropy Ohio colleague would like to know if you can provide insight and recommendations on professional development trainings for communications professionals in philanthropy. Also, any recommended conferences (in addition to the Communications Network conference), that have been helpful?
