Over the past few weeks, Philanthropy Ohio has met with 10 members of the Ohio House Higher Education and Career Readiness Committee and provided testimony on our concerns with SB 135, which contains provisions related to the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act and a path for donors’ descendants to sue about how endowed funds are being spent.

We continue to monitor HB 249 legislation that would authorize a tax credit for certain charitable contributions, having met with the bill’s sponsor.
