Philanthropy Ohio is a statewide network of individuals and organizations who value opportunities to connect and learn together, believing that by doing so they will become more effective in achieving their charitable goals. We are a strong advocate for the state’s philanthropies, the preferred provider of educational programs and information resources and the only organization that connects all forms of philanthropy in Ohio.
Philanthropy Ohio members believe that they will become more effective by connecting with and learning from each other they will become more effective. Our 200+ members represent the many types of philanthropy in the state, including individuals, giving circles, community and private foundations, corporate foundations and giving programs, federated funds and other public charity grantmakers.

Philanthropy Ohio provides the network, tools and knowledge to help people engaged in philanthropy become more effective, powerful change agents in their communities. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are among Philanthropy Ohio’s core values. We believe that greater diversity, equity and inclusion is a matter of fairness and effectiveness in our profession. To have real impact in a diverse and complex world, organized philanthropy must effectively include these voices and draw upon them to intentionally engage issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in an authentic way. We encourage all foundation leaders to sustain leadership commitment, authorization, learning and outreach and strategically and intentionally advance diversity, equity and inclusion in our organizations and grantmaking.
