We heard from Jamie Carmichael on health equity initiatives by the Ohio department of Health as well as from other staff from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services about overdose deaths and infant mortality disparities.
Time Management & Personal Productivity was an intimate, hands-on workshop aimed at increasing attendees’ leadership capacity in 2020 by providing tools and insights to help them stay focused and maximize their time.
The Philanthropy Ohio Health Initiative is a member-driven coalition focused on health policy reform that improves the health of all Ohioans. Membership in the initiative is open to all Philanthropy Ohio members, with quarterly in-person meetings and monthly enews updates. The initiative focuses on:
- Building relationships with policymakers, including the Governor’s Office of Health Transformation, the General Assembly, members of Congress and key state agencies;
- Educating funders on current health issues and policies at the state and federal levels; and
- Advocating for policies to address the social determinants of health, increase equity and improve the health of all Ohioans
