As Ohio prepares for significant changes to Medicaid eligibility beginning in 2027, learn about the Eligibility Management Learning Community (EMLC) and how it aims to improve access to care, maintain treatment continuity and reduce avoidable coverage disruptions. The EMLC brings together providers, advocates, payors and government partners to help prevent avoidable coverage loss among community members, especially those with serious mental illness and other chronic health conditions. Hear about its practical tools, best practices and solutions that support behavioral health organizations and community health centers, which are uniquely positioned to help people navigate Medicaid eligibility and redetermination processes.

What you’ll take away

  • An overview of the Eligibility Management Learning Community’s work.
  • An understanding of the challenges Medicaid policy changes may create.
  • How funders and other stakeholders can collaborate to support continuous Medicaid coverage and access to care for vulnerable populations.

Who should attend

  • Members interested in health policy.
  • Members interested in behavioral health policy.
