Information Collection, Use and Sharing

Philanthropy Ohio collects information from you when you register on the website, place an order or subscribe to newsletters.

Your information, whether public or private, will never be sold. As a membership organization, your member information is shared among member colleagues. Your contact information may also be shared with exhibitors and sponsors of programs and events. If you do not wish for your contact information to be shared, please notify us.

Registration

When ordering or registering on our site you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number and/or credit card information. This information is used for billing purposes and to process your registrations. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

Use

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience on our website
  • To send periodic emails to members or those who request information. The email address you provide for order processing may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving organization news, program announcements, member benefit information, etc.

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

Sharing

We share information with our members and Professional Partners. This information is not used to sell products or services from other businesses.

Your Access to and Control Over Information 

You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number provided on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Protecting your Information

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems and who are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information – such as credit cards numbers – are not stored on our servers.

We use "cookies" on this site. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s system to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies to help us process the items in your shopping cart.
