Learn about the Rx Kids program, the nation’s first community-wide prenatal and infant cash prescription program. Through this unique pilot program with significant philanthropic support, expectant and new mothers receive direct payments and support during pregnancy and for the first six months of life. Learn how Cleveland is implementing this pilot program, launched in September 2026, and discover how funders can harness this strategy to support maternal and infant health across Ohio.

What you’ll take away

  • An understanding of the benefits of the Rx Kids program for families and the communities they live in.
  • Background on how the program was set up and operates in Michigan, including data on the impact the program has made there.
  • Information on the goals for the program's initial phase and plans to expand throughout Cleveland and other communities.

Who should attend

  • Funders interested in learning more about a direct-payment program for pregnant moms and babies in their first months of life.
  • Funders interested in understanding the impact of the Rx Kids program in Michigan and plans to expand it here in Ohio.
