What’s your role at Philanthropy Ohio?

As President & CEO, I lead our strategy and team to ensure that Philanthropy Ohio is providing best-in-class programs and benefits that meet the needs of our members. I’m also responsible for activating our philanthropic network to achieve breakthrough results for our communities. I work with our Board of Directors and committee members to fully leverage their talent and guidance.

What’s the best part about your job?

I love connecting with people who wake up every day with the goal of making our communities vibrant and equitable. Leading an organization that provides the tools, training and network to accelerate their work is an honor.

When did you start work at Philanthropy Ohio?

June of 2025

Career background/education?

I started my career in nonprofits after graduating from Miami University with degrees in political science and journalism. My early career was dedicated to fundraising and leading development initiatives for several organizations. While working full-time, I earned my MBA from Xavier University. In 2011, I joined the staff at the Women’s Fund at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) and focused on creating systemic change through research and policy change. I then had the opportunity to lead advocacy and cross-sector partnerships for GCF. My love for community foundations continued through an executive role at CFLeads – a national organization focused on community leadership for community foundations. When the opportunity arose to lead my home state philanthropy-serving organization, I just couldn’t pass it up. I’m a lifelong Ohioan and am inspired by the potential of our philanthropic ecosystem.

Current city, and what do you like about it?

Cincinnati – I love the people, the world-class arts scene, our parks, our sports teams and the fun restaurants and breweries.

What’s something people might not know about you?

I’ve been involved with Philanthropy Ohio since 2014 when I attended my first Summer Institute learning session. Philanthropy Ohio has been an integral part of my professional development for more than a decade!

What do you do outside of work?

I love to travel, cook and spend time outside in nature. I play the violin in a community symphony. Spending time with my family brings me a lot of joy!
