  2. Connecting you to other members, the Online Communities and posting on your behalf on the listservs.
  3. Promoting your work through newsletters, social media updates and other communications channels that keep our members current on news and initiatives.
  4. Welcoming you as a new member and supporting engagement efforts throughout your membership, including gathering your feedback through the annual membership survey.
  5. Guiding you through the annual membership renewal process, answering your questions about membership and keeping you informed through our communications channels.

What's your role at Philanthropy Ohio?

As the communications & membership coordinator, I oversee Philanthropy Ohio’s content and materials that keep members informed and connected to the organization. I create newsletters, manage social media and produce email updates on events and initiatives throughout the year. I also research and respond to member inquiries and help manage the organization's Online Communities. In addition, I coordinate the promotion of events and programs, prepare materials for conferences and other gatherings and collaborate with designers and vendors to develop the resources members rely on.

What’s the best part about your job?

Being able to learn from our members through our connection spaces and witnessing how that collaboration informs and empowers the vital work they do.

When did you start work at Philanthropy Ohio?

August of 2026.

Career background/education?

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and a certificate in Peace, Conflict, and Security Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. I have worked in Communications in the U.S. Senate, abroad in Spain and for a coalition of civil and human rights organizations in Washington, D.C.

Current city, what you like about it and your hometown?

I love the libraries, the kindness of my neighbors and walking my dogs at the lake in Lorain. I was actually born in Colorado, but I grew up in Ithaca, NY. Northeast Ohio reminds me a lot of Ithaca: a lake, great food and so many beautiful places to walk.

What’s something people might not know about you?

I have two rat terriers and a cat!

What do you do outside of work?

When I’m offline, you can find me in my garden, quilting or reading. I love spending time with my family, especially my sisters (I have a lot of them!).
