The December Education Initiative meeting provided an update on the Ohio General Assembly’s education priorities during the lame duck session. The meeting discussion focused on a bill that would restructure the Ohio Department of Education and State Board of Education.
The Education Summit brought together funders to hear from several voices in the field and learn about the most significant issues in P-20 education policy, ranging from fair school funding to equity in education.
The August Education Initiative meeting took a deep dive into early childhood education, education provisions of the state’s biennium budget and other priority legislation. Groundwork Ohio and other early childhood education practitioners shared perspectives and how policy changes impact their work.
