Ohio schools may apply for grants up to $125,000 to help improve remote learning practices and outcomes. Project proposals must demonstrate readiness for success and have a focus on equitably supporting learning, not just access.
Philanthropy Ohio and its members strive for a just and vibrant Ohio through policywork to ensure every Ohio student is actively engaged in their learning; has access to high-quality education opportunities in early childhood, K-12 and post-secondary education; and is prepared to enter the workforce and succeed in life.
Materials for the September 26, 2023 annual meeting
Ohio law directs schools and districts to provide age-appropriate health education on topics such as the nutritional value of food; the dangers of drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse; sex education; venereal disease; personal safety and assault prevention; and dating violence prevention.
Philanthropy Ohio’s Education Initiative coalition has developed a series of targeted briefing papers aimed at helping the state’s early childhood, K-12 and post-secondary education leaders, elected officials and other key stakeholders plot a clear direction for the future of education and improved student success. It is our hope that these briefing papers will help guide Ohio leaders during upcoming policy discussions, including Ohio’s next budget.
This webinar recording shares the Ohio General Assembly’s lame duck session priorities and what it means for Philanthropy Ohio’s legislative agenda, funder’s work and local communities. Byers, Minton & Associates provided an update on Ohio’s post-election policy landscape; legislation in Philanthropy Ohio’s priority areas of health, housing and education; and previewed expectations for the next biennium.

Leading and supporting philanthropic work to center racial equity, we bring training, tools, inspiration and conversations to our members, holding space for peer sharing and cohort learning and expanding to include other marginalized identities and issues.
Elevate your work, grow in your career, exercise your leadership and demonstrate your expertise among your peers. When you join a committee, connect with a peer group or participate in a policy initiative, not only are you giving back to the sector, but you’re also gaining valuable skills and relationships.
