2026 Community Foundation Leaders Retreat

Convene with community foundation leaders from around the state for your annual CEO retreat with Philanthropy Ohio. Gain valuable insight into critical topics affecting your work and connect about shared successes and challenges. Come to build your professional network of community foundation leaders and extend your stay to enjoy the charm of the Lake Erie shore.  

The retreat will kick off with an evening event and dinner on Tuesday, June 9, and continue through mid-afternoon on Wednesday, June 10. For those able to extend their visit, optional activities may be available after the program.

• Pathways to continue building connections and enhancing knowledge through Philanthropy Ohio. 

Who should attend 

This program is specifically designed for Ohio community foundation CEOs and executive directors. Exceptions may be made to include a senior leader at the invitation of the organization’s CEO if the CEO cannot attend.

Hotel Information

A limited hotel block has been reserved at Hotel Breakers for our retreat attendees at the rate of $199/night + tax. Room rate is valid for Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10, for those who wish to extend their stay in the area.

Tuesday, June 9, 2026
Check in at the Hotel Breakers in the late afternoon / early evening before a waterfront night of networking and fun with your colleagues around the state. Depart by boat at Cedar Point Marina and dine at Mylander Pavilion before being returned to the hotel by boat and/or bus.

Wednesday, June 10, 2026
Enjoy breakfast at Vita Sandusky before a walking tour of redevelopment efforts in downtown Sandusky. Return to the Erie County Community Foundation to exchange insights with peers in a space curated to your role. Then close the day with an optional afternoon (2 p.m.) behind-the-scenes tour at Cedar Point!
