Explore Philanthropy Ohio’s role in democracy building and join a new task force to consider this work. Earlier this year, the Philanthropy Ohio Public Policy Committee voted to create a task force to explore Philanthropy Ohio’s role in democracy building. Specifically, the new task force will discuss adding democracy building to the legislative agenda and how Philanthropy Ohio can elevate this work among its members. Those who commit to joining the task force will be responsible for shaping the way in which Philanthropy Ohio approaches this work.

Nicholas Turner, director of strategy and engagement for the Nord Family Foundation, will lead the Democracy Building Task Force.

What you’ll take away

  1. An understanding of democracy building’s definition;
  2. Knowledge of how your peers are engaging in this space; and
  3. Details about how Philanthropy Ohio will engage in this work going forward.

Who should attend

  • Funders engaged in the work of democracy building or want to learn more.
  • Members who to play an active role in determining how Philanthropy Ohio will engage in this work.
