The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley awarded $640K through its third-quarter grant cycle to fund 53 nonprofits. 
 
The Erie County Community Foundation awarded over $134K to area nonprofits.
 
The Defiance County Board of DD received $5K from the Defiance Area Foundation for the community grant to upgrade counters in the cafeteria kitchen area.

Coshocton Foundation grant made it possible to bring an ice skating rink to the community.
 
Many Cuyahoga County philanthropic, civic and corporate leaders have joined together to raise emergency funds of over $600K for local residents who could face the potential loss of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits on Nov. 1, including The Cleveland Foundation, The George Gund Foundation, Cuyahoga County, City of Cleveland, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Guardians and The Word Church.
 
The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation made a $3M commitment to the Mandel Humanities Center at Cuyahoga Community College.

Mayor Sharetta Smith announced the creation of the Stronger Together Fund, a collaborative effort among several community partners, housed at the Lima Community Foundation, with all donations going directly to support food assistance programs at the West Ohio Food Bank.
 
The Health Partners of Western Ohio Foundation gave a $220K emergency donation to West Ohio Community Action Partnership’s (WOCAP) Head Start programs to open temporarily after the government shutdown halted funding.
 
The Portage Foundation reactivated its Rapid Response Fund to help meet urgent community needs as many local families face the possibility of reduced access to federal food assistance.
 
The Akron Community Foundation will deploy $100k through its Food Pantry Capacity Fund to support hunger-relief programs in targeted areas of Summit County, as well as the GAR Foundation, which will increase its annual operating grant to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank by $10K.

The Marietta Community Foundation awarded more than $135K for its Fall Grant Cycle to fuel projects that make Washington County stronger, more connected and full of opportunity.
 
ServeOhio announced a $100K investment in youth service-learning and civic engagement through the 2025–26 Service-Learning Institute, supporting 20 schools and nonprofit organizations across the state.
 
Delaware County Foundation donated $50K to local food pantries across Delaware County in response to the recent changes in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.
