The Muskingum County Community Foundation awarded more than $948K in scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year to over 300 students.
 
The Dayton Foundation awarded nearly $337K in discretionary and greenlight grants to 28 organizations.
 
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley awarded its 2025 River Valley Health grants totaling $120K to 14 nonprofit organizations on Sept. 3.
 
The Marion Community Foundation awarded $50K in Racial Equity & Justice grants to 11 programs to address critical needs in education, community affirmation, health care and organizational development.
 
The Ohio State Bar Foundation gave the Douglass Project $50K to continue its programming in Ohio prisons and potentially expand to other facilities across the state.
 
Tim Tramble launched the 89th Rising initiative through his company, We Rise Development LLC, to preserve and revitalize his neighborhood by transforming vacant lots into six Victorian-style multifamily homes.
The Meigs County Foundation and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio are partnering with COSI and local businesses to bring a science and career exploration program to middle school students in Meigs County.

The Shelby Foundation has expanded its investment in downtown Shelby with the purchase of 66 W. Main Street, known locally as the Melody Within building. 
 
The Adams County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Ellis E. and Virginia Mae Dorton Scholarship Fund, created by their daughter, Patricia Dorton Whittaker, in memory of her parents.
