FAQ

Who can attend the conference? 

Current members and eligible non-member funders can attend the conference. If you’re not a member, learn how to join on the Become a Member page. Professional Partners who are current members of Philanthropy Ohio may also register for the conference.  

Philanthropy Forward is generally closed to media/press, as it is a privately organized and ticketed professional membership association conference. Media that would like to cover the event as a public service are required to request written consent to attend and report on the convening. Media credentials must be requested no later than Thursday, September 25, at 5 p.m. by email to Jessica Howard, vice president, communications & membership. Express written consent of Philanthropy Ohio includes specific details, in writing, on permissions and access parameters.

How can I become a Philanthropy Ohio member so I can receive the member rate for the conference?

What time does the conference begin and end? 

The conference begins on Monday, September 29, at Noon with Pre-Conference activities. The conference ends on Wednesday, October 1, when the Closing Plenary finishes at 1:30 p.m. 

Can I transfer my registration?  

Yes! You can transfer your registration to another person at your organization. Please email Alyssa Donahey. 

Are there sponsorship opportunities? 

Yes! Please complete the sponsorship form and contact Laura Smith for more details. 

Are there exhibitor opportunities? 

Yes! Become an exhibitor today. Please contact Dani Rose for more information. 

How can I communicate accessibility needs? 

Philanthropy Ohio is committed to creating accessible and inclusive spaces for all, and every effort will be made to meet requests for accommodation to fully engage in Philanthropy Forward ‘25. Please call 614.224.1344 or email Dani Rose to make any requests for accommodations necessary for your participation, including but not limited to support for hearing, vision or mobility support or impairment. We ask for at least two weeks’ notice for all requests so that we can best meet your needs for engagement. 

What is the cancellation policy for Philanthropy Forward ’25? 

If you must cancel your registration, please contact Alyssa Donahey to cancel or transfer your registration to another person at your organization. Cancellations must be requested in writing before Monday, August 11, and will receive a refund less a $197 cancellation fee. Any cancellations received after that date will not be eligible for a refund but may still be transferred to another eligible attendee until Friday, September 19.  

What guidelines do you have for photos, videos and other recordings?

Philanthropy Ohio may take pictures, videos or recordings at this program for promotional use on our website, social media or other forms of communication. Please email us if you have questions or concerns, or to request removal from any such communication. If you prefer your image not to be used, you can also notify us at the event.

To ensure that the conference is a safe space for sharing and to protect our attendees and presenters, the use of AI or recording tools for recording, transcription or summarization during the Philanthropy Forward conference sessions is not permitted.

If you require any AI or recording tools for accessibility or accommodation support, you must obtain consent from Philanthropy Ohio before the session begins.
