Discover how community-driven solutions can effectively address the unique needs of rural community members. Midwest Partnership states – Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio – have more community members living in rural communities than the national average. These 9 million people often experience higher rates of poverty and limited opportunities for upward economic mobility. Hear from The Education Design Lab, which offers insights on how funders can align rural grantmaking to better close opportunity gaps and advance economic mobility.

What you’ll take away

  • Understanding of how rural grantmaking fits into equitable grantmaking strategies;
  • Strategies to support collaborative solutions that improve economic mobility in rural communities; and
  • Field examples and resources to support funders in this space.

Who should attend

  • Funders located or invested in rural communities or who wish to build their knowledge of rural grantmaking strategies.

This program is a part of our Midwest Partnership Series, a collaboration between Philanthropy Ohio, Indiana Philanthropy Alliance, Council of Michigan Foundations and Philanthropy Missouri.
