Job Description

Are you a mission-driven leader ready to inspire change and drive impact across communities? United Way of Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties is seeking a strategic, passionate, and community-focused Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and innovation.

💼 What You’ll Do

As our Executive Director, you’ll be the chief ambassador and strategist, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers, and community partners to:

  • Lead fundraising efforts and annual campaigns with energy and vision.
  • Build strong relationships with agencies, donors, and local leaders.
  • Oversee program planning, fund distribution, and fiscal accountability.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all initiatives.
  • Represent United Way at key events and in the broader community.
  • Inspire and manage a high-performing team with purpose and clarity.

🎯 What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A passion for United Way’s mission and a track record of being a change-agent.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience (nonprofit preferred).
  • Strong fundraising, partnership-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read financial statements and lead with data-informed decisions.
  • Graduate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Clark, Champaign, or Madison County.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
