This program recording of Philanthropy Ohio’s 2022 virtual Annual Meeting features a journey through conversation with President & CEO Deborah Aubert Thomas and Dr. Amy Acton to discuss her lessons learned through the pandemic – a journey that continues. Learn how Dr. Acton is leading RAPID 5 to reframe the connectivity of a region to benefit all of Ohio, and welcome and thank Philanthropy Ohio’s incoming and outgoing trustees.
The summer Philanthropy Review edition features member voices of inspiration from the ABFE conference; Deborah Aubert Thomas’ reflections on pluralism; how to seek diversity within your investment portfolio; the Nonprofit Summer Learning Series; a new philanthropy award; Ronn Richard’s reflections after 20 years leading the Cleveland Foundation; and much more!
Resilia is a Black-led social enterprise organization, and this partnership will help you in your efforts to provide enhanced, trust-based, capacity-building resources for the nonprofits and community partners that you support.
I’m writing to share that after serving our organization for nearly 10 years, Deborah Aubert Thomas, president and CEO of Philanthropy Ohio, will be moving on to a national leadership position. Her last day will be June 18, 2024.
Our last major website design update was in 2015, so we are very excited for this new, fresh look and added functionality on our website with the same robust content your membership provides – including a big improvement to how you access many of your member benefits.
We are delighted to honor Britt Lovett, Ohio Access to Justice Foundation, Isabelle Ridgway Foundation, John Corlett and Melissa A. Kleptz.
Connect with fellow Ohio funders about the challenges and possibilities and identify opportunities to collaborate. Get the mentoring and training you need and be reassured you’re doing things in the best way possible. You have the ability to become the funder you envision and seek to be.
Leading and supporting philanthropic work to center racial equity, we bring training, tools, inspiration and conversations to our members, holding space for peer sharing and cohort learning and expanding to include other marginalized identities and issues.
Elevate your work, grow in your career, exercise your leadership and demonstrate your expertise among your peers. When you join a committee, connect with a peer group or participate in a policy initiative, not only are you giving back to the sector, but you’re also gaining valuable skills and relationships.
