The Stocker Foundation announced 22 grant awards totaling over $556K to educational nonprofits serving Lorain and Cuyahoga counties.
 
The Greater Cincinnati Foundation unveiled a $1B investment plan to tackle long-standing regional challenges over the next decade.
 
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley awarded more than $50K in grants to 13 organizations’ projects that improve the quality of life for residents of Belmont County in the Ohio Valley through the Belmont County Enrichment Fund.
 
The Martha Holden Jennings Foundation awarded the Hope Meadows Foundation a $20K grant to expand its social-emotional learning program using equine-assisted therapy.
 
The Defiance Area Foundation’s annual March Madness school fundraiser brought in over $12K this year, thanks to donors who stepped up to support local students, teachers and school programs.
 
The Health Alliance of Clinton County is being awarded a grant of $10K, under the umbrella of the Clinton County Foundation, to continue their work to provide emergency financial assistance to patients with a cancer diagnosis and medical education scholarships to local health care workers.
 
The Ashtabula Foundation awarded $50K to 10 Ashtabula County high schools’ Youth Philanthropy programs during a luncheon on Wednesday, April 9, at Sheldon Calvary Camp.
 
The KeyBank Foundation has unveiled a special grant program for Community Development Financial Institutions totaling $5.4M and plans to award $200K in grants to those CDFIs, six of which are in Ohio.
 
Benjamin Logan High School students visited the Springfield Museum of Art on Friday, April 4, made possible through the Ohio Arts Council’s Big Yellow School Bus grant, which entirely covered transportation costs. 

The Hope Zone Promise Neighborhood project, a community initiative in northwest Dayton aimed to give teens positive and safe spaces this summer, will be funded by Omega CDC’s Hope Zone Promise Neighborhood grant, the City of Dayton and the Dayton Foundation.
 
Tipp City Foundation awarded the second payment toward a $25K five-year grant to Edison State Community College, which supports their registered nursing program and the physical expansion of the building where the new Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program will be housed.
 
The Community West Foundation board of directors approved $551K in first-quarter grants to nonprofit agencies serving Cleveland, Western Cuyahoga and Lorain counties.
 
The Huron County Community Foundation distributed about $28K in community grants to several local nonprofits and municipalities.
 
Student United Way of Logan County awarded $25K in Youth Allocations grants to six local organizations with a shared mission to enhance youth mental health and tackle issues such as substance misuse, hunger and personal hygiene.

The J.W. & M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation recently donated over $68K to the Village of South Zanesville to support the South Town Park Project to add a brand-new big toy playground and make the park more interactive and family-friendly.
 
The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation will return to Northern Kentucky, establishing its new home in Downtown Covington at Ralph Haile Square by Fall 2025.

Athens County Foundation launches Athens County Pride Fund dedicated to supporting and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community across Athens County by providing resources to eligible nonprofit organizations and public entities committed to serving the local LGBTQ+ community through outreach, education, events and other vital programming.
 
The Resident Advancement Committee of the Saint Luke’s Foundation approved $24K in grants to support four local grassroots initiatives through its most recent round of community-focused funding.
 
The William S. Clark Family Foundation Fund held at the Bryan Area Foundation gave the Williams County Agricultural Society a $10K grant to move, replace, and landscape the primary American Flagpole on the Williams County Fairgrounds.
