The Raymond John Wean Foundation awarded more than $73K in grants to 21 neighborhood and grassroots groups to support their efforts to engage and empower residents in Warren and Youngstown. 
 
The Defiance Area Foundation has announced a generous $25K donation from the Defiance Moose Lodge #2094.
 
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley has given $2K to the Belmont County CARES Program to provide CPR classes for residents.
 
Through grants from the Ohio Arts Council and GAR Foundation, Cuyahoga Falls City School District will add sidewalk art along the Portage Trail this summer, allowing students to design and create asphalt art to improve public safety and elevate Cuyahoga Falls’ pedestrian experience.
 
The Grants for Arts Project grant, administered by Culture Works and made possible by the Dayton Foundation and the Charles F. Kettering Foundation, is accepting applications to support eligible arts organizations for artistic projects that promote a sense of belonging and foster community.

The OhioHealth system hospitals in Ashland, Ontario, Shelby and Mansfield received grants totaling $70K from several area foundations, including Richland County Foundation, Ashland County Community Foundation and Shelby Foundation, to implement new forensic technology for sexual assault and abuse care in their emergency facilities.
 
Local educators are encouraged to apply for grants aimed to support creative and innovative programs not covered by school funding from the Richland County Foundation until May 1.

AIDS Funding Collaborative hosted a community briefing on April 19 to share the results of its Grantee Landscape Mapping Survey and discuss the current portfolio of public funding that supports HIV prevention and care services in Cuyahoga County.
 
The Dayton Foundation received a generous gift of $550K from Ellenae Fairhurst’s estate to bolster the African American Community Fund’s (AACF) discretionary grantmaking process, making it AACF’s largest single unrestricted gift to date. 
 
The Cleveland Browns Foundation's Stay in the Game! Attendance Network and University Hospitals partnered to create a Wellness Room and Care Closet for the students at Arbor Elementary School in the Euclid City School District.
