The Marietta Community Foundation awarded $127K in grant funding during the first grant cycle of 2025, directly supporting nonprofit organizations working to create positive change throughout Washington County, Ohio.
 
The George Gund Foundation gave a $300K grant to the Shaker City council for the First CALL Program, a multi-city extension of the pilot Mental Health Response Program that Shaker Heights started in 2022.

The African American Community Fund, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, is accepting grant applications from Black-led and Black-serving nonprofit and public organizations serving Appalachian Ohio’s 32 counties until June 10.

A group of 30 kindergartners at Hook Elementary School in Troy travelled to the Columbus Zoo for a field trip on May 2 with the support of a grant from the Troy Foundation and the Hook PTO.

Career Connections of Van Wert County will host its fourth annual “Let’s Get Down to Business” event on May 13, made possible through a grant from the Van Wert County Foundation, to bring together over 250 fifth-grade students to explore businesses and careers in a series of hands-on learning stations and engaging displays.

The Hardin County Community Foundation awarded $367K in grants and scholarships to 143 recipients through its annual program.

The Shelby County Rescue Task Force was awarded a $25K grant from the Community Foundation of Shelby County to support the RTF’s mission to enhance emergency response capabilities throughout Shelby County.

The Hudson Community Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary by looking at a few different initiatives, including a special grant program to give back to the community.
